Should parents decide what their children want to be?

My mum and dad always wanted me to be a doctor .And I ended up doing International Business and management because I love it . This is the implication I have  noticed since child hood . Parents always  ask their children , " do you want to be a doctor or engineer or a lawyer ?Also mum want her child to be a doctor and dad want his child to take care of the his business. They have  argument for all the way through what their child want to be. I think they fix that since the day of their baby born . As a child , our brain terminated one aim either to be a doctor or engineer . I mean guide them in a way so they can decide what they want to be . And if they love and passionate about what they want to be , they will be successful. It's like a job or an entrepreneur , if you love and passionate about what you are doing you will be successful as an employee or an entrepreneur . Who doesn't want their children to be successful?! Let them be innovative , let them free but in a range so they can't be lost . We often force our children to study either Science or commerce or psychology . As a reality some of the children cannot perform well because they don't love what they are doing . Therefore , they ended up doing nothing . Some of the children like to study Science but the ended up doing commerce . An idea come from a free mind but if your mind is stuck with one direction how the ideas will be generated ? Also , you never who is gonna be successful entrepreneur like Richard Benson , Steve Jobs or Bill Gates.Mostly in Asian culture are like that and probably in western culture in some families.
