Good manners from the Quran
The Quran teaches us many good manners that we should strive to adopt in our daily lives. Here are some of them:
1. Honesty: "And cover not truth with falsehood, nor conceal the truth when ye know (what it is)." [2:42]
2. Respect for Parents: "Thy Lord hath decreed that ye worship none but Him, and that ye be kind to parents." [17:23]
3. Forgiveness: "Let them forgive and overlook, do you not wish that Allah should forgive you?" [24:22]
4. Humility: "And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth in humility, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace." [25:63]
5. Patience: "And be patient, for indeed, Allah does not allow to be lost the reward of those who do good." [11:115]
6. Generosity: "And they give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan, and the captive." [76:8]
7. Modesty: "Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty." [24:30]
8. Kindness: "And speak to people good [words] and establish prayer and give zakah (charity)." [2:83]
9. Gratitude: "And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed, 'If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]." [14:7]
10. Justice: "O ye who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah, even as against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, and whether it be (against) rich or poor: for Allah can best protect both." [4:135]
These are just a few examples of the good manners taught in the Quran. There are many more, and they all serve as guidance for leading a righteous and fulfilling life.
