Meet this charity group , helping Uganda to build a better future!



"Baking a better future in Uganda"

In Whitstable located the company called The Amelix Group have been working with a school in slums of Kampala in Uganda for the last 3 years helping connect them to the world with broadband and a computer room. However, it came to attention to them that they can get help modernize the cooking facilities which is currently providing 1 cooked meal per day for hundreds of children. In addition to building a kitchen for the school, the organization were asked to help build a bakery which could provide a sustainable income for the school as well as teaching some of the kids some valuable life skills and transferable skills for the future. The origination's plan is to go to the school in April 2016 and we are asking for your help. The team of volunteers is made up of members of staff at the Amelix Group as well as other volunteers who want to do their bit to improve the lives of hundreds of children living in poverty.

Fields of life vision are to see 1,000,000 people in East Africa impacted practically with the good news of the gospel by 2015 and to act as an effective Christian response to communities gripped with poverty and suffering.
The organization passionate commitment to see local partners and churches in East Africa strengthened and empowered to be the drivers of change in their own communities whereby children especially are nurtured and developed to realize their potential bringing a hope and future to their nations. Fields of Life is committed to sharing the Christian faith by collaborating with local communities and churches in East Africa to bring about positive change through the provision of quality education, clean water, health promotion and other community-based projects.



The Fundraiser event
On 18th of October ,2015 event was held in The Ancient Raj , an Indian restaurant in Canterbury. The restaurant accommodated 65 guests. It has arranged by The Amelix group and the church people. Also, Mark Nottage and Louis were in charge of this event to make sure everything goes to the plan. The main purpose was to explain the intention of fundraising and how the bakery will help the poor people in Uganda. The presentation was held in the restaurant and the people were more involved into the group.


With the help of Fields of life, The Treasured Bakery, HatAHat Coffee , The Amelix Group and all the people involved they will be able to  go to next year in April/May to build the bakery. The treasured group is working with an awesome bunch of companies who are helping us reach our ambitious target of £25,000. Every penny raised through sponsorship is going to go directly to the project at Treasured Kids Primary school in the slums of Kampala, Uganda.If it goes with the plan, then the poor people in Uganda will get more help to get educated and will get a better life.
