Do people really click on ads?

Does people really click on ads? Apparently do like millions of click. They are very good at relevance. One of the reason is when you search it in Google basically tell them what you are looking for.and Google takes advantage of that .They put advertisement depending on what you are looking for.It also depend on key words. For example, if you search for  holiday , then it will come up all the travel insurance, holiday suites , hotels etc. This is  far much better than indirect "likes" on Facebook , they try to match banner and then put the advertisement.
Click on ads

Even though the results of the ads come up with the slightly different ads you are looking for, many people clicks on that. Not every people are smart , there are many dumb people than the smart one.So even without noticing they often ended up with clicking the ads.Even  my parents  also don't notice that the ads are any different than the search results and click them more often because it just gets them what they want.

In terms of revenue, Engadget's report [1] on Google's Q2 2013 earnings shows $12 billion in revenue from ads so it's clear that even with a tiny percentage of clicks, at this scale it still adds up to millions of clicks per day. Similarly any site that runs AdSense and has enough traffic will be capable of serious revenue (like Plenty of Fish)

Its more than clicking on ads.Advertisement agency are taking advantage of Google, Facebook, Instagram , Viber as well.People click on the ads either you tell them to or not?
