Confict about using Amex Cards

American Express are not acceptable in everywhere. Even in UK, some restaurant and bars do not accept Amex. Some people before dinning in they always ask ,by the way do you accept Amex ?Also , in Wales , and Scotland most of the merchandise do not accept cards .As a result , the tourists forcefully had to use Visa cards or other cards.

Furthermore, it is not acceptable in ASDA and ICELAND on online .People find it hard to use because at the moment most of the shopping we do in Online. Many companies like e-buyer do not accept Amex .So why most of the companies do not accept Amex ? Because they charge a higher transaction fee that Visa or MC. Visa and MC might charge 1 to 1.5% of the purchase price while Amex is more around 3-4%. Also  they hold to the money for longer too. So financially, not convenient for small businesses and/or low profit margin stores like wholesale. This is the complication are facing Amex user .But if is there more complication to use Amex , then why people use Amex. What is the reason behind using Amex? Here are some reason for that. Essentially, every time another consumer swipes a VISA or pays with cash, they are subsidizing your purchase. If someone pays cash, they are paying a full $100 of a $100 item. If you pay with your AMEX, you are paying $97. Sure, $100 still get credited to your card, but you get those $3 back in the way of better customer service, better rewards programs, and extra benefits. Also Did you know that if you use your AMEX to buy any item (anything!) worth up to $10,000 and it gets stolen, damaged, lost, or otherwise ruined, AMEX will buy you the exact same item back. This is called American Express - Purchase Protection, and is just ONE of the many benefits that American Express provides to its customers. Using an AMEX is not so much a prestige or luxury decision. It's incredibly smart if you stop and think about their business model and what that means for consumers. 

On the other hand , it is not good for the companies who accepts Amex because  the fees are way much higher. That is one of the best reason for not accepting Amex. As a result it effects Amex user for not be able to use .And this is the complication facing the consumers. Where they want to be rewarded by using the card , on the other hand they can't use it everywhere.
