Advertising on the page is sometimes irritating and that is why some of the users block the ads.But how Facebook and Google make  money or is it effecting them.? Lets have a look ,shall we ? The companies like Yahoo, Facebook and Google are not just paid for advertising. The companies are paid for the revenue that they generate for the advertiser.And revenue generated only if the user purchases something after clicking on the advertisement. It doesn't matter how many ads into the page have been squeezed or how many times the ads have been viewed .And it doesn't matter how many users have been distracted by the ads.It only matters when the viewers click the ads in order to purchase the product or service.
