Do people really click on ads?

Image
Does people really click on ads? Apparently do like millions of click. They are very good at relevance . One of the reason is when you search  it in Google basically tell them what you are looking for.and Google takes advantage of that .They put advertisement depending on what you are looking for.It also depend on key words. For example, if you search for  holiday , then it will come up all the travel insurance, holiday suites , hotels etc. This is  far much better than indirect "likes" on Facebook  , they try to match banner and then put the advertisement. Even though the results of the ads come up with the slightly different ads you are looking for, many people clicks on that. Not every people are smart , there are many dumb people than the smart one.So even without noticing they often ended up with clicking the ads.Even   my parents  also don't notice that the ads are any different than the search results and click them more often because it just gets them w

20th Century Fox History,"A Dream Is Born"

Image
It's all started from a tiny theatre on New York's lower east side .A 25 year old William Fox amazed audiences with his magical hand craked films. The initial stages were humble – folding chairs, a painted wall for a screen -- but the aspiration to entertain and move people has been at the core of what 20th Century Fox has been doing ever since. By 1915 Fox’s five-cent movie shows were wildly popular and his single screen grew first into a chain of 25 theatres around New York City and then into a movie making business  After a bank-mandated reorganization, under new president Sidney Kent, the new owners merged Fox Film with Twentieth Century Pictures to form   The Twentieth Century-Fox Film Corporation.   Joe Schenck and Darryl F. Zanuck retained their roles as chief executive and head of production, respectively. The latter company was founded in 1915 by   William Fox , a New York City exhibitor who had begun distributing films in 1904 and producing them in 19

Car scandal destroys the company

Image
Scandal is not a good thing for a brand and specially for  car company .Recently Volkswagen (VW) has suspended the sale of more than 4,000 vehicles in the UK over fears they could have been fitted with the same emission cheating device used in the US. The scandal-hit car company said the vehicles it is preventing from being sold amount to just 3% of its stock and all of them had not yet been registered . Furthermore , The company recently announced   nearly 1.2 million vehicles in the UK   are affected by the fraudulent emission software, meaning they could be producing more emission gasses than legally allowed. The German car maker admitted there could be as many as   11 million diesel vehicles   fitted with the device. The affected vehicles include five million VW-branded cars, 2.1 million Audis, 1.2 million Skodas and 700,000 SEATs .   The  Volkswagen scandal could spell the end of the diesel engine, experts have predicted, as the fallout from the firm’s falsificati

Psychological Impact in Advertisement

Image
According to  Kotler (2003), there are four key psychological processes — motivation, perception, learning, and memory - fundamentally influencing the customer responses to marketing stimuli. Jokubauskas (2007) also attributes the cognitive aspects, i.e. senses, reasoning, language and perception, to the psychological impact of advertising, although the author does not present the hierarchy of these aspects. Therefore, based on the other authors’ hierarchical division, the cognitive aspects could be divided as follows: firstly, the customer’s attention is concentrated, then perception, cognition though the customer’s emotions and different senses, reasoning take place and then follows the advert assimilation.   The application of these psychological concepts to advertising began in the late 19th century and early 20th century (Benjamin, 2004) The relationship between advertising and psychology developed because advertisers were also searching for credibility. They wanted to

Advertisement and its models

Image
The evolution of advertisement dates back into the ancient times. Societies used symbols, and pictorial signs to attract their product users. Over centuries, these elements were used for promotion of products. Today’s modern environment, advertisements have become one of the major sources of communicational tool between the manufacturer and the user of the products. A company cannot make dream to be a well known brand until they invests in their promotional activities, for which consumer market have been dominating through advertisements (Hussainy et al., 2008).  Dunn et al. (1978) viewed advertising from its functional perspectives, hence they define it as a paid, non-personal communication through various media by business firms, non-profit organization, and individuals who are in some way identified in the advertising message and who hope to inform or persuade members of a particular audience.Furthermore, when a consumer obtains relevant information about a product or servi

Effectiveness of Celebrity Endorsement

Image
There are certain models that are often used to assess the effectiveness of celebrity endorsement. Some of the key models are as follows: 1.1.                   1.2.                   1.3.                   1.4.                             Source Credibility Model Source reliability model was initially suggested by Hovland (1953)and his associates  Janis and Kelley (1953). Moreover, the source reliability in an extensive sense, states to a correspondent‘s optimistic features that influence the receiver‘s recognition of a message and depend on the study in social consciousness. However, the model recommends that the efficiency of a message hinge on the alleged level of proficiency and dependability of an endorser. According to Kwon, et al (2009) , exchange of all-important data throughout a reliable source for example celebrity has the impending to influence views, feelings, arrogances and attitude throughout a procedure called internalisation. However, internal
